Day 19: Thank you = I love you (to him)
What did your husband do today, that you can thank him for? Or where can you leave a sticky-note of recognition for something that your husband recently accomplished or did really well? Maybe it was a particular achievement at work? ("So proud of you for hanging in there even though that customer was so difficult."). Maybe it was a fitness/weight goal met, or a home project started? ("I love how the bookcases are looking!")
Whether via a text, email, phone call, or in person, find something and thank him for it or tell him how proud you are. ("Thanks for replacing those burnt-out light bulbs this morning."Or "Thanks for driving the kids to school, "or "I'm so proud of you for closing that deal."It can be big or little. Bonus points if you thank him more than once!
If you are keeping a personal notebook, jot an entry on how your husband responded to your thank you comment. You may need to pay close attention - his response may not be verbal.
Who knows? He may even keep that sticky note!

Don't think saying "Thank you" matters that much? To him, it does! In our surveys, 72% of all men said it deeply pleases them when their wives notice their efforts and sincerely thank them for it. Believe it or not, "Thank you"is man-speak for "I love you."
Be sure to jot an entry in your personal journal about his reaction to your note. If he didn't respond, don't be discouraged. Walls were not built overnight and it takes time to break them down. Keep up the kindness!
