Day 16 of the Kindness Challenge!

Day 16: Public praise

Today, look for a way to sincerely praise your person in front of their supervisor, colleague, client, or someone whose opinion really matters to them. "Jake, did you know our social media engagement has tripled since Ben took over?" Or, "Yes, Coach is tough on the girls, but did you know she spends at least an hour every night studying the game reels? It is great she's always prepared."

Coach's corner: Affirming someone in public usually magnifies the impact of praise. As long as it is sincere and appropriate to the situation, even the most behind-the-scenes type person deeply appreciates being bragged about every now and then. (If you're keeping observation notes for a letter or email later, write down not only your public brag, but the public reaction you saw when you said those affirming things.)
