Day 1: Listening = I love you to her
And weeeeee're off! Today Starts The 30-Day Kindness Challenge!
Here's your optional idea for Day One:
Soon after you and your wife are home from work, eliminate all distractions for 15 minutes (physically put down your phone, turn off the TV) and ask her something specific about her day – something that can't be answered with the word, "fine." ("What happened with your big presentation at work?" "Did the kids treat each other any better today?") Listen and ask follow-up questions for 15 minutes.

Practice this type of listening well. It is a key habit you'll build during these 30 days – and something that will make her very, very happy.
Of the three elements you'll be working on during the Challenge (see yesterday's email for your exact to-do's), do you know which you already do well, and which you most need to work on? The Kindness Challenge research found that practicing each day is the best way to become aware.
