Day 28. Celebrating great traits
Now that you've been focusing on the positives in your child for almost a month, what rises up in your mind as a great character trait, skill, or other distinctive worth celebrating? Consider how you can make others aware of that trait in a way that will be meaningful for your child, then do it. Tell your pastor that your stepdaughter would probably love to sing as part of the worship team if asked. Show Grandma the desktop computer that your son put together on his own initiative. Tell your office team coordinator that your teenage daughter is a natural when it comes to playing softball, and ask if she can be included in your next game.
Coach's Corner: By now your child probably thinks of you as someone who really does appreciate them. This is your chance to demonstrate your advocacy for them with others. The Kindness Challenge research found that people tend to be very loyal to those who are loyal to them.
The 30-Day Kindness Challenge is brought to you via our partnership with Shaunti Feldhahn, and is based on her research for The Kindness Challenge.
