Day 11. Reciprocity in action
In the past few weeks or months, what is one thing your person has said or done for you? What type of action was it? An act of service? A word of affirmation? A gift of some kind? An out-of-the-blue kind comment? Or perhaps… simply not criticizing you when they might have otherwise? Whatever it was, it likely indicates that type of action would be meaningful for them. So do that same type of action for them today.
Coach's Corner: Dr. Gary Chapman's book The Five Love Languages (and its multiple versions) demonstrates that people tend to give the type of love or appreciation they want to receive. Use your person's actions as a signal to discover what is important to them; log it in your notebook to remind you to give it more often.
