Day 20 of the Kindness Challenge!

Day 20: Pray for your child

When you hear about an obvious concern that your child is dealing with today, tell him or her sincerely that you'll be praying for God to help.

Assure your child that even though you cannot always be there, the Lord is. He is there when your child is taking that test, facing those kids who hurt their feelings, or trying to decide where to sit for lunch. Remind your child that we can trust God to help us during tough situations. Remember to check back in about the concern in a few days to see how things have improved.

Coach's Corner: Kids may not be at the point in their spiritual development to know that prayer is a powerful tool for them. It can be so reassuring when they know their parent is praying on their behalf.

The 30-Day Kindness Challenge is brought to you via our partnership with Shaunti Feldhahn, and is based on her research for The Kindness Challenge.
