Day 19 of the Kindness Challenge!

Day 19: Helping unconditionally

Kids have a lot of stress when it comes to schoolwork. When its crunch time on your child's upcoming project, offer a way to alleviate some of the pressure – even if you know they are stressed because they haven't managed their time well. Ask, "Are there any supplies you need for your project? I can run to the store and grab those for you this evening." "Here's a snack and a drink to enjoy while you finish up the last details of your presentation."

Or do one of their daily chores, like feeding the dog or watering the flowers, to help alleviate some of their "project pressure."

Coach's Corner: During this Challenge, offer these actions of generosity even if you think your child "doesn't deserve it." Offer again, even if your child doesn't take you up on it. Sometimes, the offer matters just as much as the action.

Bonus Video: Think "random acts of kindness" are the most effective way to help others? Think again! Learn how targeted acts of kindness are even more powerful in this short bonus video.
