Day 2: Lending a Helping Hand
Do a task that you know your person dislikes with a cheerful attitude and no expectation (i.e. not even expecting that they'll acknowledge that you did it). Clean the dirty mugs in the sink even though it is your colleague's turn to do it. Offer to pick up the donuts for the meeting to save your person from having to do it. Help put away the gym equipment after P.E. class.
Coach's Corner: The research found that many small actions have an outsized impact; not because that specific action is unusually valuable but because it tells the other person, "You are valuable and valued."
The 30-Day Kindness Challenge is brought to you via our partnership with Shaunti Feldhahn, and is based on her research for The Kindness Challenge.
