Day 5: That very last piece
Your child loves chocolate cake – but so do you. And there's only one piece left over from that party. So when your child gets home from soccer practice tonight, set it out with a note that reads: "Enjoy it! You deserve it after that awesome practice."
Coach's Corner: The research found kindness is particularly impactful if you are being generous with something you would prefer to keep to yourself. Not just for them, but for you, too.
"As we give up what matters to us - sleep, time, credit, the last piece of your favorite pie—we become more open, less grabby, and more willing to share."
– The Kindness Challenge
Which of your actions of generosity are both easiest for you and most impactful for your child? Review the eight types of generosity in Chapter 8, and log yours in your notebook or mobile device.
The 30-Day Kindness Challenge is brought to you via our partnership with Shaunti Feldhahn, and is based on her research for The Kindness Challenge.
